Design Society Special Interest Group: DESIGN EDUCATION

*** The DESIG is a partner in the organisation of the Engineering and Produce Design Education Conferences. A very successful conference was held in Barcelona in 2008 (see Conference web site), and this year's meeting will be held at the University of Brighton, UK on 10 and 11 September 2009***

Introduction

The Design Education Special Interest Group (DESIG) of the Design Society has been formed to bring together academics, designers, training professionals and others throughout the world who have an interest in design education at the tertiary level.  DESIG will focus on sharing information and experience on design education through biannual conferences and workshops, collaboration and promoting workgroups and a design education resource web-site.

The DESIG has been formed from the Sharing Experience in Engineering Design (SEED) organisation, founded in the United Kingdom some twenty years ago with the aim of fostering the exchange of enperience in design education.
