Research

Ocean Technologies Laboratory

My group's research is focussed on developing tools for the study of the coastal marine environment. We design and build propulsors and sensors which we incorporate into small submersibles and boats, then field test in the open ocean. Many of our designs draw their inspiration from the animals which live and thrive in the coastal zone.

The lab's research is described in detail here.

Additional information on the collaborative fieldwork the lab is involved in is described here.
