Ocean Technologies Laboratory

Welcome to the Ocean Technologies Lab at the University of Bath!

We are a multi-disciplinary laboratory developing tools for the study of the ocean and the ecosystems which thrive in it. Our students and staff are involved in building and field-testing small submersibles whose propulsion and sensor systems are tuned to the coastal ocean. Many, but not all, of the systems draw their inspiration from the very animals & environments they are designed to study.
