James Davenport at the British Computer Society
A casual vacancy on the Council of the British Computer
Society was created in March 2010, and JHD, as runner-up in the 2009 elections, filled the place until May 2012, and was elected again in 2012 until 2015).
As a Council member, he has also served on the Engineering and Science Board, and the Audit and Risk Committee, of the Society.
In May 2013 he was elected to the Board of Trustees, and in October 2013 to be a Vice-President (with effect from the 2014 AGM) of the Society, and an Academy of Computing Trustee.
He is also a member of the Security Community of Expertise, and led the drafting of:
in Computing at School.
