After completing
a BA in Modern Languages at the University of Leeds, I studied
for an MA in German studies at University College London and a PhD at the
University of Wales Swansea. I then worked for a year at the University of
Mainz in Germany as a 'Lektor', before taking up a post as a lecturer in German at the
Nottingham Trent University. I joined the Department of Modern Languages and European Studies at
Bath as a lecturer in German studies in 2003, and have been Director of Studies for the MA in European Cinema Studies since 2005. |
