Welcome to the Interacting with Technology 4th Year Option. Lectures for Interacting with Technology are on Tuesday at 1.15pm in 3E 2.4 (weeks 3-7 in the 6 West lab) from 9th February – 27th April 2010. Please note the course finishes on 27th April but there will be a session the following week for discussion of essays.

The course will explore the effects of emerging technology paradigms on a range of psychology research areas including spatial, educational and methodological issues. A series of lectures will be followed by student presentations.

Assessment

Your assessment consists of a presentation and one piece of written coursework. There is no exam.

Presentation and Essay Questions. Please choose one from the titles below: 

·        Discuss the merits and drawbacks of technology design partnerships?

·        Is the use of ‘new technology’ beneficial to children’s education?

·        Is it better to evaluate in the lab or ‘in the wild’? Discuss.

Essays should be no longer than 2500 words. A time slot has been reserved for you to discuss your essay.
