About the Course:

This course can be quite different from other courses. We move into conceptions of 'mind' for which we presently do not have any universally agreed definitions. Analysing and debating a plethora of theory and research is a challenging task for any mind, whatever that may be. We have 8 weeks of lectures, easter break, then 2 weeks of student-lead instruction through seminar presentations. Professor David Gooding has a wealth of relevant material from previous years teaching on this course.
